Rohit Shetty's Dilwale to star Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.
>Amidst many speculations and rumours, Rohit Shetty for the first time announced about his upcoming film which is to star Shah Rukh Khan. The film titled Dilwale, will bring back the evergreen jodi of Shah Rukh Khan - Kajol back on screen after My Name Is Khan. It will also see the first time pairing of Varun Dhawan along with Heropanti actress Kriti Sanon.
Rohit Shetty, who has a record of directing maximum 100 crore club films and the recent one being Singham Returns, is busy with the scripting of Dilwale. Denying the buzz that the film is a remake of a Bollywood classic, Rohit also further added that it is an action comedy for family audience. Moreover, he further expressed his wish to hire the stunt director of 'Fear Factor' or someone from abroad to direct the action sequences of the film.
Interestingly, Dilwale was the title of a 1994 film starring Ajay Devgn, Raveena Tandon and Suneil Shetty in prominent roles. A couple of months ago, Harry Baweja who directed the film which was produced by his brother Paramjeet Baweja, had stated that he had given the title to the makers of the film but had refused to divulge the name or the cast of the same.
The Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol starrer Dilwale is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Rohit Shetty Productions. It is slated to go on floor on March 20 in Mumbai and is looking for a Christmas release this year.
